Release Dashboards
Release dashboards provide both summary and detail information about release activity and contributors to the release process. Search for release candidates and parts.
If changes are made to any dashboard (filters are edited or customizations made), these changes can be saved to a new dashboard. see Save a dashboard for more information.

Click Analytics (
) from the Document panel on the left. Then click the Release filter in the Analytics Navigation panel:
Default Release dashboards

Duplicate part numbers in multiple documents - A dashboard that displays released and unreleased duplicate part numbers in multiple documents.

Obsoletion dashboard - A dashboard that displays obsoletion-related data for all released items.

Release activity - A dashboard displaying a summary of all release activity, list of contributors, and pending releases.

Release audit - Search for release-managed objects using properties such as part number, state, and release name.
This dashboard contains a single table visual displaying released and unreleased duplicate part numbers in multiple documents.

Part number - Part number assigned to the item

State - Revision state; for example, Unreleased or Obsolete

Created by - Name of the user who created the item

This dashboard displays obsoletion-related data for all released items.

Obsolete items - Count visual displaying number of obsolete items

Assemblies and drawings containing obsolete items - Count visual displaying number of Assemblies and Drawings that contain obsolete items.

Top 20 Most Used Items which are Obsolete - Table visual displaying top 20 most used items that are obsolete. Columns are Part number with revision and Reference count.

Obsolete Items Details - Table visual displaying additional details for each of the obsoleted items. Columns are Part number with revision, Item type, Created by, Created date, and Obsoletion date.

Assemblies and Drawings Containing Obsolete Items - Table visual displaying all Assemblies and Drawings that contain obsolete items. Columns are Part number with revision, Created by, and Number of obsolete items containing.

Obsoletion Activity - Vertical bar chart visual displaying Number of items (parts, Assemblies, and Drawings, along the y axis) by Obsoletion date (x axis)
This dashboard displays a summary of all release activity plus a list of contributors, external PLM-related information, and pending releases.

Visuals
- Releases - Count visual displaying number of releases (in progress, pending release, and released) fulfilling the search criteria.
- Approved - Count visual displaying number of releases that have been approved.
- Rejected - Count visual displaying number of releases that have been rejected.
- Obsoleted - Count visual displaying number of releases that have been obsoleted.
- Pending - Count visual displaying number of releases that are still pending.
- Status - Donut visual displaying percentage of releases in each category: Released, Pending, and Rejected.
- Top Contributors - Table visual displaying users and number of release actions they took: Submit, Release, Reject, Obsolete, Discard, and Comment.
- External PLM Related Information - Table visual displaying external PLM data with Release, Workflow state, Workflow name, PLM change number, PLM change status, and PLM change update date.
- Pending Releases - Table visual displaying Releases that have actions pending, which actions, and how long the action was pending. Columns are Release, Created, Created by, Type, Pending time (days), Items, and Approvers.

- Part number - Part number assigned to the item in the release
- Part name - Name assigned to the item in the release
- Revision - Unique alphanumeric identification for the item's revision
- Item type - The Onshape object type, including: Part, Assembly, Drawing, or Variable Studio
- Workflow name - Workflow name; for example, Onshape Release workflow or Onshape Obsoletion workflow
- State - Item revision state; for example, In progress, Released, Pending, Rejected, or Obsolete.
- Release name - Name assigned to the release
- Release notes - Notes added to the release
- Approved by - Name of the user who approved the release
- Last modified - Date when the item was last modified
- Document name - Document name.
- PLM change number - The assigned PLM change number.
- PLM change status - The current Change status assigned by the PLM system; for example, Open, Submitted, Approved, or Completed
- PLM change update date - Date of the latest change to the PLM system's Change status
