Sketch Split

Split open or closed sketch curves into multiple segments. Open curves require one or more points to split with; closed curves require two or more points.
The sketch split tool splits open or closed sketch curves into multiple segments. Open curves require one or more points to split with. Closed curves require two or more points. For example, select the split tool from the sketch toolbar, and then click on a point on the circle, and then click on another point on the circle. You now have two segments for your circle. You can then use the trim tool to trim this segment, and you now have an open arc. To add another split, select the split tool and in this case, because it's an open arc, you only need one point to split it into two different segments.

Splitting a Bezier curve splits the original curve into two new curves on either side of the split point. Each curve has the same number of degrees and control points. The original curve's shape and length remains the same.

Both new curves are coincident to each other. Moving one curve also moves the other. However, control points for each curve are independent from each other.
Moving either curve moves both, since they are coincident at the split point.

- Click two or more points to split a closed curve.
